Trzy medale na jednych igrzyskach olimpijskich to coś, czego nie dokonali wcześniej Małysz czy Stoch. Ten pierwszy dwukrotnie wywalczył po dwa medale. W 2002 r. w Salt Lake City miał brąz i srebro, podczas gdy w 2010 r. świętował dwa srebra. Stoch miał natomiast dwa złota w Soczi w 2014 r.
Tomasiak został jednocześnie czwartym polskim sportowcem, który na jednych igrzyskach olimpijskich wywalczył trzy medale. W tym gronie są Irena Szewińska (Tokio 1964), Otylia Jędrzejczak (Ateny 2004) i Justyna Kowalczyk (Vancouver 2010).
W konkursie duetów najlepsi okazali się Austriacy Jan Hoerl i Stephan Embacher. Trzecie miejsce wywalczyli Norwegowie Johann Andre Forfang i Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal.
