Emeryci i renciści, choć nie mają obowiązku składania rocznego zeznania podatkowego, mogą w prosty sposób wesprzeć wybraną organizację pożytku publicznego (OPP), przekazując jej 1,5% swojego podatku. Wystarczy wypełnić i złożyć specjalny formularz PIT-OP. Dokument można dostarczyć online, pocztą tradycyjną lub osobiście w urzędzie skarbowym.
Osoby rozliczone przez organ rentowy na podstawie formularza PIT-40A mogą przekazać 1,5% podatku ulubionej organizacji pożytku publicznego. Jeśli wspierają tę samą instytucję co w poprzednim roku, nie muszą składać kolejnego PIT-OP. W przypadku wyboru nowej organizacji wymagane jest złożenie formularza PIT-OP w urzędzie skarbowym.
Zmiana organizacji, na rzecz której przekazujesz 1,5% podatku, wymaga złożenia PIT-OP.
Organizacje pożytku publicznego to fundacje, stowarzyszenia, kluby sportowe i inne podmioty działające na rzecz społeczeństwa – np. pomagające chorym, osobom niepełnosprawnym czy poszkodowanym w katastrofach. Działają lokalnie, krajowo lub międzynarodowo, ale wszystkie muszą być zarejestrowane w Krajowym Rejestrze Sądowym (KRS) i posiadać unikalny numer KRS.
