Laura: Well, Doug, I have to say, I’m focusing on how optimistic Trump was today, and he’s been very optimistic. He likes, you know, putting the barbs out, and that’s Trump as well. But when he’s with the people, regular working-class people as we saw him, especially in the last part of that 2024 campaign, to me that’s magic. He should be doing this a couple of times a week. JD should be doing it and other members of his team. That’s just beautiful. Just like the event with the African American women for Black History Month in the White House — positive, fun. Doug Schoen: I have to tell you, when I was in the White House with Bill Clinton, we told him, and he took the message, to be optimistic. Trump, I think, with the Board of Peace, with the raising of $17 billion and the event in Georgia, is beginning to turn the narrative around. There is an affordability crisis with the American people, but with Trump’s leadership, I think there is every reason to believe — in the absence of my party having an agenda, which it doesn’t, I wish I could tell you you were wrong, Laura, you’re not — in the absence of that agenda, I think President Trump has a real chance to turn this around.
