William, 42, who described flying a chopper as “better than anything”, is said to have brushed off the pleas and continues to ignore an unwritten rule barring senior royals from taking to the air together.
The trained RAF pilot has previously flown Kate, 42, George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, five, the 115 miles from Kensington Palace in London to their family home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
He also flew for the East Anglia Air Ambulance for two years and, in 2021, borrowed a £5.4million chopper to keep his flying hours up for his pilot’s licence.
