Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce may be a beast on the football field, but when it comes to academics, the NFL legend admits he wasn’t always at the top of his game.

As Kelce dives into the world of hosting his first-ever reality game show, Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, he opened up about his own school days, revealing a side of himself that fans might not expect.

In a recent interview with People, Kelce confessed that history was one of his biggest academic challenges. “I just stay in there. But any history questions, I’m like, ‘I don’t know if anybody knows that,’ and sure enough, everybody does but me,” he said.

He decided to be in all advanced classes. I was like, ‘That’s too much homework for me.’” According to Travis, Jason would probably do great on the show, adding, “I’ll be interested to hear him talk about it when he sees it.”

Stepping into the hosting role for Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? has been an exciting new challenge for the Chiefs’ tight end. “I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first show. The original version was a great success, and now with celebrities joining in, it’s going to be even more entertaining,” Kelce said.
