Golf Fans Thinking Of Paige Spiranac During Unfortunate Scam

There’s an unfortunate cost to widespread fame and it often comes in form of people trying to use someone’s likeness to get a quick buck. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is only the most recent celebrity to get used in this way.
Taking to X on Thursday, Spiranac revealed the unfortunate news that someone has been impersonating her online. The truly heinous part is that they’re pretending to be her to ask people to donate money to a fund raising money for her beloved dog who passed away. She called on fans to block and report anyone who attempts to get money from her in this way.
“I can’t believe I even have to write this. Someone is pretending to be me online and asking people to donate money to a fund for my dog who just died. It’s a scam. Please do not donate. Block and report. Thank you!” Spiranac wrote.
Golf fans were crushed to hear that Spiranac and her dog were being used in such a way and are offering their support:
“Very sorry for your loss. Nothing worse than losing your pet,” one user wrote.
I am so sorry…….. people are just evil. It’s awful. I am so sorry Paige for your loss. My heart aches for you,” wrote another.
“Sad pathetic people out here with use ANY situation for their own gain. Pathetic!”
“Sheesh. People are sinking to new lows everyday. Be careful out there!”
“People are the worst. So sorry to hear about Niko. Thinking about you and sending love.”
“It’s a very sick world we live in. Especially when it comes to dealing with such a huge loss. Do better people!”
