Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was a joyful event, but it left Zara Tindall, the Queen’s granddaughter, feeling “uncomfortable.”

The couple tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on May 19, 2018, surrounded by hundreds of family and friends, while beaming at millions watching worldwide.

The late Queen, Prince Philip, then-Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, as well as Prince William and Princess Kate, were all present for the celebration.

Zara Tindall attended the wedding with her husband Mike, her mother Princess Anne, and her brother Peter Phillips. After the ceremony, Zara, who was heavily pregnant with her second child at the time, revealed that her experience was quite “uncomfortable.”

She told the Daily Telegraph her baby was giving her a rather awkward time during the ceremony and she confessed it showed on her face. Zara joked: “I was uncomfortable! My bum sort of slid over either side and Lena kicked the hell out of me for an hour. It just wasn’t comfy at all and it probably showed on my face.”

The mum later admitted Bishop Michael Curry’s infamous sermon, which was 13 minutes long, seemed to test the patience of the guests as it kept going on. She said: “It was just the general amount of time everything was taking.”

When Zara thought the Bishop was concluding, he started another anecdote, much to the horror of the guests, she admitted: “I think my face was probably caught the point when I thought ‘Right he’s going to finish now’ and then he went off on another little story and it was like, “Really?”

Lena was born a month after the wedding, on 18 June. Zara and Mike later welcomed their third child, a son named Lucas, on 21 March 2021
