Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court of the Federal (STF), determined on Wednesday (23) that former President Jair bolsonaro (PL) should already be arrested about the beginning of criminal proceedings arising from the acceptance of the complaint of the Prosecutor-General’s Office of the Republic (PGR) for suspected attempted coup.

bolsonaro would be intimated at a “suitable date” in the middle of being admitted to Brasília for the recovery from the abdominal surgery performed last week. However, Moraes anticipated the intimation after the former president performed a live broadcast in hospital on Tuesday (22).

“In virtue of the internation of former President Jair bolsonaro it was determined that he would wait for a suitable date in which he could, usually, receive the Justice Officer. The live dissemination made by the ex-President on yesterday (22/4) demonstrated the possibility of being cited and intimate today (23/4)”, the STF said in a note.

According to the Court, the other defendants of the so-called “core 1” of the PGR complaint have already been intimate between the 11th and 15th, minus bolsonaro because of the surgery.

The former president responded indirectly to Moraes’ determination with an image posted on a social network in which it reproduces the title of a report in the magazine See that a justice officer would be looking for him in the hospital.
