Viral golfer Paige Spiranac grateful to fans after their “kind wishes” following her dog Niko passing
Paige Spiranac built up an incredible fan following on social media thanks to her years of dedicated golf content. Now, some of those same fans are repaying the favor when Spiranac needed them most.
The retired pro, 31, revealed earlier in the week that her dog, Niko, had passed on.
“I loved you for your whole life and I’ll miss you for the rest of mine,” Spiranac wrote on X (fka Twitter) on Wednesday, March 5. Along with the post, she shared a photo of the sweet pup.
Well, a large amount of Spiranac’s 4.4 million Instagram followers and 1 million-plus X followers responded to her Niko announcement. They let her know that they were thinking of her during this tough time.
“I’m sorry you lost your dog that’s tragic. God loves dogs so much he spelt his name backwards,” wrote one person.
“So sorry for your loss, Queen. Dogs are the best, losing one is so painful,” added another.
A third person wrote, “Condolences Paige. I lost my little cutie a few years back and you’re right I will miss her all the days of my life!!”
These messages had a strong effect on Spiranac. The viral star issued a statement on X on Thursday, March 6, thanking everyone for their immense kindness..
